The process begins with a survey that can be conducted in person across Essex and the South East, by video for clients anywhere else in the UK. Volume, destination, transport method, customs documentation, packing requirements, and storage are all assessed before a price is given. The quote you receive covers the complete door-to-door cost and is fixed at that point, not subject to revision once a crew arrives or a lorry is loaded.
Export Packing and Inventory Preparation
Our own trained crews attend your property and pack using export-grade materials matched to your route. For example, the distance to Portugal demands different preparation to the Netherlands, and we apply the appropriate standard for each. The customs inventory is built carton by carton during the packing process itself, so what is declared to customs is a direct record of what was packed, not a document assembled separately and reconciled after loading.
Transport and Customs Processing
Your consignment departs with UK export documentation already submitted. At the destination, our certified European partners manage import declaration and Transfer of Normal Residence processing through the relevant national customs authority such as Douanes, Agencia Tributaria, AT, Douane, SKAT, or Irish Revenue depending on your destination. Your move coordinator monitors progress at each stage and keeps you informed without you needing to chase for updates.
Delivery at Your European Address
Delivery is carried out by our verified European partner crew at your address, the same certified network that handled customs coordination on the destination side. Furniture is positioned and reassembly completed where required. If anything at the delivery address presents a practical challenge like access restrictions, floor level or tight stairwells, this is identified during the survey and planned for in advance rather than resolved on the day. Your Trunk Logistics coordinator confirms delivery completion directly with you. The move is not closed on our side until you have confirmed everything has arrived correctly.

Before your items leave the UK we provide storage in Essex. Your belongings are collected as planned, held securely, and dispatched for your European destination when your property is confirmed ready. Storage duration is flexible and priced by volume and duration and will be confirmed during your survey alongside the removal cost.
Do you manage the customs paperwork when moving to Europe or do I need to arrange this myself?

Destination country import declaration is coordinated by our certified European partners. You do not need to appoint a separate customs agent or manage border paperwork independently for any of our six European routes.

Part load groupage means your consignment travels with compatible shipments heading to the same destination, priced by cubic meterage. This option is cost-effective for smaller moves with flexible departure timelines. Dedicated vehicle means your consignment travels exclusively in a single vehicle direct to your European address. It is more expensive but faster, will have a fixed departure and arrival date, and has no dependency on consolidation schedules.
